MEXICO 2010 INDIE-O AWARDS WINNER HIPHOP ALBUM OF THE YEAR BOCAFLOJA

where do i start? do i start with the story of how we met? of how he hit me up on myspace asking if i'd be down for a collab, and me thinking someone is joking with me. Are you serious? Of course i'd be down but try'd to play it cool of course. At that point, my music hadn't been validated by an established artist so to come from somebody who does it for a living was a blessing. Did i know that our first official collaboration "Mundo" would be on the Hiphop album of the year? didn't matter, i was trying to get my verse on point and not get murdered on the track...ja. Does anyone know that that track was actually finished in fall 2008? since then that collab became a real friendship. and through that friendship i have been blessed to travel the world and meet so many other dope activist, musicians, and "characters" (as we call people we enjoy to be around). Ive learned all the behind the scenes and what it takes to be half way successful in this biz and that Bocafloja deserves this award although im sure he doesn't take it to serious. My brother works hard at what he does, and is very commited to the idea of grassroots change. I enjoy the album and my personal fav at the moment is "es posible" feat Navegante...anyhow...congrats to Boca and the Quilombo Fam. and as Boca signs off (which i copy'd)...Abrazos
